See the law in action, build your resume, serve the community!

 Ø     CAP: Help victims of domestic violence get protective orders in court (Work w/Sanctuary for Families’ Battered Women’s Project)

Ø    VITA: Help low income people file tax returns & avoid predatory schemes (IRS training and local supervision)

Ø     IN RE HOLOCAUST Class Action: Help obtain reparations for descendants of Holocaust victims (Work w/Brennan Center Attorneys) Eastern European Language Translators Needed!!

Ø     DEATH PENALTY: Advocate for those on death row and help with their appeals (Brooklyn Law Students Against the Death Penalty)

Ø     PROJECT FAIR: Assist before and during hearings on welfare and other benefits (work w/attorneys from NYLAG and Legal Aid)

Ø      NEW YORK VOTING RIGHTS CONSORTIUM:  (pole watch and provide other election protection services on November 2nd)

Ø     OTHER ORGANIZATIONS: offering other opportunities including Legal Outreach and the new High School for Law and Justice.  

A lawyer and a student will talk about the work in each organization from their respective perspectives as professional and intern. They will then staff information tables to talk to interested students and provide information.
